Could you build a nest as well as a bird? One that can withstand wind, rain, and pesky squirrels? Join us for the third day of our STEM Summer Camp to learn about engineering and put your nest-building skills to the test!

The Grayson STEM Summer Camp encourages the exploration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with hands-on experiments! Each day of STEM camp will focus on a different topic and have a fun new challenge!

Birds are expert nest engineers, and they make their nests with lots of different materials. Their ability to build nests that support and protect their eggs is an adaptation that has helped them to survive in their habitat. In this STEM Challenge, your task is to build a model nest that can protect and support at least two bird eggs. Just like real birds, you can use a combination of natural and manufactured materials to build your nest.
